Hello Endurance Athletes,
One of the best ways to maximize your potential as an endurance sport athlete is to keep track of your training throughout the year. A lot of information for future college or Olympic level coaches can be gained from looking through training logs. But most importantly, the information is beneficial for YOU to be able to see your progress throughout the year and dial in what works for you to perform.
The training log below is very simple, which is perfect for making it easy to fill out consistently and ideal to make the information about you! We encourage you to spend 5-10 minutes at the end of each day reflecting on your training sessions and what you were focusing on during that workout. You should ideally fill it out similar to the EXAMPLE TAB, where you say 1-3 things you were focusing on and how the session went. This log is ultimately your own so write the information you feel was pertinent to the session and what you have learned from it.
-Note: Ideally focus on one 1-3 technique/strength goals each session.
Please reach out to your coaches if you are having trouble deciding what your focus should be that day! The more we work with you we will be able to see some patterns and can help distinguish them. If you already have some technical goals that you would like to work on please email me at astarkey.mea@gmail.com so I can make a mental note of them. :)
If you are registered in one of our programs please download the training log below. Make a copy and then rename the file with your FIRST AND LAST name before the log title. After the next week please share the file back to our email account info.montanaenduranceacademy.org. Your coaches will then review your week and make a few comments!
Enjoy!
