Our program caters to young athletes and Nordic skiers aged 14-19, accommodating all skill levels. MEA is committed to nurturing your aspirations, offering tailored training for reaching your potential whether it is for recreational or national competitions.
In summer and fall, our multi-sport regimen builds comprehensive athletic fitness and strength. Winter brings Nordic skiing, celebrated as an all-encompassing workout that boosts cardiovascular health, muscular strength, and overall flexibility.
As ski season concludes, our athletes reach peak physical condition, primed for the activities of spring and summer building fitness to reach even higher levels next year.
Athletes can join anytime it is convenient for school and life schedules.
Each program, whether year-round, summer or winter, consists of six weekly structured workouts with the MEA team along with one designated OYO (On Your Own) training day. Training, appropriate to seasonal conditions, will include skiing, mountain running, hiking, ski bounding, roller skiing, track workouts, games, and mountain biking, with two strength sessions in the afternoons/mornings on training days.
Opportunities to register for camps and race trips are available.
Montana Endurance Academy meticulously designs activities to balance intensity and volume, prioritizing safety. We ensure personalized attention to each athleteβs growth within a nurturing team environment.
Training Details:
Structured training program led by coaches educated in Exercise Physiology and Sports Science
Instructors with longtime national and international youth coaching experience
Training plan to help you achieve your personal goals
Technique coaching and video analysis
Seasonal meetings to discuss physical and mental training, technique progression, and nutrition needs
Racing opportunities, local and regional
Winter ski races in the Intermountain Nordic Division
Field testing and time trials
Four to five outdoor training sessions per week with the MEA team - locations in Bozeman
Strength training 2x week - *requires athlete to sign up at PLANET FITNESS ($49 year membership fee +$10/month)

Our summer and fall sessions include a variety of activities such as hiking, ski walking, trail running, mountain biking, track workouts, games, and roller skiing for those who choose it. These activities aim to enhance physical fitness within an enjoyable and team-oriented environment.
With the onset of winter, typically around November, we transition to Nordic skiing. Our winter curriculum integrates ski instruction, racing techniques, and both distance and interval training into engaging games. This includes mastering both classic and skate skiing methods.
Strength training is provided year-round.
This year-round program not only fosters athletic development but also cultivates enduring friendships and teamwork.
We provide complete team support, including coaching and race waxing services, for local races, optional Intermountain Division qualifiers, and USSA Senior National competitions.
Please note, there will be a three-week hiatus in the program from August 15th to September 4th.

Nordic skiing commences with the first significant snowfall, which can occur as early as November, and extends throughout the winter season.
Prior to snow coverage, our dryland training schedule includes hiking, trail running, various games, and the choice of roller skiing.
Once the ski season is underway, we offer comprehensive ski instruction and racing techniques, along with distance and interval training tailored to help participants achieve their full potential. This includes mastering both classic and skate skiing methods.
